The first year that we worked with FGC UES on an annual report coincided with the company’s 15th anniversary, and the company requested unconventional solutions and novel approaches to the disclosure of information. Horizon CF experts successfully handled a range of tasks covering a sizeable scope of financial and non-financial information, presenting it in an accessible way using infographics, including active use of interviews with senior executives, disclosing the company’s development prospects in more detail, and much more.

When preparing reports, Horizon CF experts traditionally undertake a spectrum of analytical and creative work, which is described in detail in the Reporting section.

In our very first year working with the company, the FGC UES 2016 Annual Report was placed second in the Best Disclosure of Information on Corporate Governance in the Annual Report category of the Moscow Exchange Annual Report Contest. In the second year of our partnership, the Moscow Exchange contest judging panel named the FGC UES 2018 Integrated Report the winner in three separate key categories: Best Annual Report by a Company with a Market Cap of RUB 40–200 Billion, Best Presentation of the Company’s Strategy and Investment Case in the Annual Report, and Best Annual Report in the Electric Energy Sector. Since then, FGC UES’ reports have gone on to win a string of prestigious awards in Russian and international competitions.

We have been working with FGC UES since 2016 on reporting, with projects including GRI and IIRC-compliant annual and integrated reports, as well as annual financial reports (AFRs).

FGC UES publishes AFRs under the Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules set by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Horizon CF has been consulting the company on its AFRs since 2016, drawing on our previous experience of writing similar documents and our legislative expertise. We closely monitor regulatory changes to analyse and apply them to all documents to ensure compliance. For example, the Horizon CF team has used the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) to prepare FGC UES’ AFRs since 2021.
