We have been working with Bashneft since 2011 on reporting, including annual and sustainability reports.

At that time, Bashneft had a number of important priorities: building a nationwide, vertically-integrated company, developing a new strategy and taking its information openness and business transparency to a whole new level. The company was looking to reinvent its approach to building a disclosure framework.

To address these challenges, Horizon CF experts carried out a comprehensive review of all business processes and proposed a fundamentally new approach to developing a messaging and visual concept and creating content of each annual report while building a new disclosure framework. The guiding principle behind our debut annual report – Bashneft: All the Ingredients for an Effective Business – was praised as an innovative case study, presenting the market with a rejuvenated and fast-growing company led by a solid team of professional managers.

Over the five years that we partnered with Bashneft’s IR team, we not only laid out new principles for the company to present itself to all stakeholders, we also developed a uniform communication ecosystem, including tools such as the annual report, sustainability report and the corporate website. We made significant strides in disclosing information about the company strategy, corporate governance and risk management framework.

Our work was lauded by the investment and expert community, with Bashneft’s annual reports consistently receiving high marks across key categories at Russian and international contests.
